- Breeder will need to have a health certificate for the pet dated within 10 days of US travel and 3 days for international travel. This is a USDA requirement for pets traveling across state lines.
- Breeder should start acclimating pet to the carrier at least a week before travel. This will minimize stress on the pet if they associate the carrier with something good like treats or toys.
- Please pack something with the mother’s scent that the pet can have in the carrier while they travel. This is a big day for them so we want to offer as much comfort as we can.
- Two days before travel send an updated picture and weight to the air nanny. This will be used to ensure the correct size carrier is provided for the pet.
- Please do not let the pet eat or drink within 2 hours of travel.
- Pack a small amount of food (no larger than a quart size baggie) that the air nanny can travel with.
